Hi there. Sorry we have taken so long to write.
Maggie and Carlo are doing just great. They have been nicknamed the Dastardly Duo by the Vets and the family alike. Whatever they can they get into and they do it with a flourish! Carlo very nicely showed Maggie how to get into step on garbage cans and she showed him where we keep our nicest shoes. Then they both decided to make mudpies 10 minutes before we were to go to work so we had to bath them first. I'm afraid they didn't get much scolding as they looked so funny being completely covered in mud from head to toe, then they both had to go into the bathtub together and that was hilarious. They are pretty much inseparable now and are so great to come home to. Carlo sleeps on the window ledge out the living room window during the day and Maggie on the back of the couch so both are there to see us when we pull in the drive. Then it's racing around to show us what they have gotten into while we were gone. Pleased to report they are no trouble at all and make us feel like new parents again.
Maggie did have a relapse however on October 20th and the vet wasn't sure she would make it through the night however, I think she knew she had us and Carlo waiting for her at home and she was a brave little trooper and turned it around in the night. She was in the vets for 5 days and nights and is now on a Low Fat diet that we strictly adhere to. He feels for every six months we can keep her from having another attack that she will gain another year. That Duradeck really did a number on her. She has been diagnosed with acute Pancreatitis duew to the infection and trauma from the Duradeck. It sneaks up every so often when we relax so we shall keep on top of it. It has been three weeks and her coat is back to a beautiful blond and shiny and her eyes are like to huge buttons, watching every move. It is so nice as she looked so awful earlier. Luckily as soon as I notice a difference in her I take her in and luckily I was quick enough the last time. She loves to come home though because the loving she gets it ten fold.
Well that all for now. Carlo the cutie has won all our hearts and my sister and brother in law came us to see them this weekend and fell in love with them too. We have no lack of sitters.
PS. Carlo really is a treasure. Thank you again. Love the xxxxxxx
PPS. They are going to get their pictures with Santa next week. I know it's corny but I can't help it. Ta Taa.
